Capital moves quietly
before it moves publicly.

Chow & Partners is a single-principal advisory practice serving a deliberately small number of principals, families and boards across Greater China, Southeast Asia, Australasia, the United Kingdom and the United States. We accept a limited number of mandates each year.

The practice

One principal. Four decades of market cycles compressed into one relationship.

Most cross-border capital fails on the same two things: a negotiation conducted in the wrong cultural register, and a structure that cannot survive the regulator on the other side. Dr. Carol Chow has sat on both sides of that divide as chief executive — in Langfang and Shanghai, in Hong Kong and Singapore, in London and Brisbane — and has taken companies through listing, privatisation, sovereign-fund diligence and a market crash. Clients do not retain a team here. They retain her.

The practice is intentionally unscaled. There is no associate layer, no pitch process and no public client list. Work arrives by referral from principals, family offices and boards who have been in a room with her before.

Where we are engaged

Four situations where a single, senior counterparty is worth more than an institution.

01

The family that has outgrown its structure

Multi-jurisdiction wealth, a succession that has not been named, and operating assets in a market the private bank does not really cover. We design the holding architecture, the governance and the sequence of moves.

02

The deal that is stuck on the human question

Valuation is rarely the true blocker. Control, face, timing and the founder's standing after close are. We negotiate the terms that the bankers on both sides cannot say out loud.

03

The company that is not yet listable

Governance, audit trail, board composition and equity story, rebuilt over 12–24 months so that the listing hearing is an administrative formality rather than a contest.

04

The Western fund that needs Asia to be real

A Singapore VCC, the licences underneath it, a local team hired from nothing, and the institutional and sovereign relationships that make the first close possible.

Corridors, not offices.

The practice is organised around the capital corridors Dr. Chow has personally operated in, rather than around a map of branches.
